Hello and Welcome to Straight Talk with BEV!

It is Saturday and self matters just like 

writing and editing.

Today's post is quick and simple. 

I found an editor whom I love dearly.

We are like two peas in a pod, but we 

have already bumped heads. Over the 

course of two days, she has questioned

whether I am ready to do business with 

her. I explained my position. Yes I am ready!

I need an editor who understands that my needs

are different. I am creative ...laughing. I need

someone to trust the process. Even when you 

can't see where I am going, the destignation 

is still the same. It takes a creative mind to

edit me. She now knows it is what makes 

me special. It is also what makes working with 

me so interesting.

Story Time for Adults

I slept with my book in my bed last night. 

I just couldn't put it down. I held it firmly 

in my hand and flip page after page, until I knew 

nothing at all. 

Yes, I fell fast asleep while reading. I slept 

with my book in my bed last night. I wonder

what my mom would say? She was a book lover too.

I apologized to the bookshelf, and said I'd 

try not to do it again. I can't help it! I love 

the relationship that we've developed. I don't 

know what's wrong with me. 

Normally, I'd fold my reading blanket, and return

my book to the bookshelf, but last night was different. 

It was a very special night. Last night was the dawn of a 

new era. No, last night was a fun reading adventure at its best.

Last night, was the start of something everlasting. 

I felt possessed by reading, but in a good way. 

Possessed by every shimmering word found

between the pages of my new love of sleep reading. 

My dreams were sweet! Who knows, I might do it again tonight.

Who's Your Top Teacher?

Teacher Appreciation Day is coming soon! Do you want to appear as if you have all of your appreciation thoughts together? I certainly want to help. My first suggestion would be to start EARLY! 

Pamper your child's teacher. You can't go wrong with the word pamper! Be genuine! Start with something general during the month of April by following the tips below. I will provide more personalized tips as we approach National Teachers Appreciation Day!

Tip 1. Write the trusty: "We Appreciate You!" Letter.

a.) address the letter to your child's school, in the care of Your child's teacher.

Tip 2.  Picasso said, "Every child is an artist..."! 

a.) Give your child some beautifully designed stationary and see what 2 demintional 

drawing that he or she will come up with in the spirit of love! The key to this is 

preserving the drawing. I suggest asking the school to laminate it for you. This could 

save you time if the school has a laminator on campus. If not, take it to a print

and copy center to be laminated on the spot.

Tip 3: This tip has something to do with the "day you laminate" the drawing.

I will be provided this tip in a future blog! 

You don't want to miss the cool ideas that I have to deliver, for FREE!!!
